Privacy and security are two of the biggest issues facing users of the Internet.

Here at ourlittlegiftshop.com, we understand this and we want to assure everyone who visits our site that we follow the highest industry standards regarding safety, security and personal privacy. Privacy refers to information we obtain about you and the use we make of it in the course of our business. Security refers to the methods used to insure that the information we obtain remains private.

There will be links to other sites amongst our pages in the form of advertisements or simple text links to sites we think our customers might enjoy. Privacy

In order to help you manage your visit to our site, we make use of "cookies". There are very few things that can be done on our site without the use of these cookies. At the very minimum, we store a session id that lets us keep track of any items you place in a "shopping cart" so that your shopping experience will be a better one. We never collect any personal information about you unless you request a service that requires it. Then, we only ask for the specific information that is needed to satisfy your request. Any information you do provide is kept in the strictest confidence.

We do NOT provide your personal and financial information to other companies unless those companies require it to fulfill your request (ie. We provide an option to process your payment through PayPal and share with them the information required to process the payment). Simply put: your information remains your information and you decide who it gets shared with. We will endeavor to make sure that you are aware of any time that you are asking us to share the information with someone else.

Security

When ever we request information from you, it is done using encryption technology in the form of Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) which protects your information as it is transmitted over the internet. Each time you are asked to provide protected information over our SSL protected pages, then you will be asked to accept our certificate. There is an option for you to accept it as a trusted site which will prevent you from having to accept it each time. If you are a repeat customer, as we hope you will be, then this would save you some clicks over the course of time. This whole certificate thing is a byproduct of providing for secured transmission and it serves to protect your information from prying eyes. We hope that any inconvenience is outweighed by the peace of mind in knowing that the information is being transmitted securely.
